Fashion Department of CT Group inks MoU with The Fashionate

Fashion Department students of CT Group to get hands on experience

Jalandhar, June 28, 2021: Department of Fashion Design, CT Group of institutions, South Campus, Shahpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a leading fashion Brand ‘The Fashionate’ by renowned International Fashion stylist and designer Shelja Sharma. She has worked with many Bollywood and other film and television celebrities.

The Memorandum of Understanding will provide the department students with enormous opportunities to work with her on different design projects undertaken at the The Fashionate as well as design internships directly under her guidance.

Telling about this tie up, Ankita Kararia, Coordinator of department said, “The students will also be able to visit the workshop along with the faculties to understand the methodology followed while creating designer attire and bespoke outfits. Another major takeaway for the students would be to get mentoring for design collection created every year by the graduating students which is their final project. They will get worthy guidance and direction for designing their collection and moving forward from concept to consumer in a professional way, achieving desirable commercialization and execution of their ideas.”

Students will also be assisting her during all her events in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chandigarh etc. as a part of implementation team.

Campus Director Dr. Rahul Malhotra and Dean Academics Dr. Anupamdeep Sharma congratulated the department and said that they are looking forward to this practical oriented tie up as this will give students an access to the industry and experiential learning through handling the celebrities in real.
